I don't quite understand why I said that like a pirate, either.

anyway, I decided that because it's one of my subscriber's birthdays, and he was the only one on here who seemed interested in my resident evil 4 thing, I was gonna force myself to write another chapter. if you're reading this, don't worry dude I plan to write the rest of it on a more regular basis- I just didn't know how to proceed for a while.

as for my other series- I'm trying to figure out how her story progresses as well, but I've got an idea or two. that's a bit more difficult in some ways, because it's an OC.

now, if anyone reading this has tried their hand at writing, you are as familiar with the beast of writer's block as I am. sometimes we just feel uninspired, don't know what should come next, all that jazz. but I think I've figured out a way to get some creativity going around here, to spark some inspiration. what we need, are prompts.

I know what some of you are thinking. "but dude, if I write something to a prompt, it's not original!" I'm glad you pointed that out, random guy I just made up (seriously, I don't have enough followers for this conjecture, I'm talking to myself for the most part). but here's the deal- writing a story based off a sentence long prompt is no less creative than writing a story based on something you encounter in real life. while the original spark of creativity may not be your own, the story you grow around it IS.

so, I'm gonna think up some prompts, and whether anyone cares or not, I'm gonna post them in another journal entry. then anyone interested can write stories around them, and I'll try my hand as well.

So I helped a friend of mine move over the past few days, and long story short, I am really, REALLY tired. But my bedsheets need to go into the dryer, so it's at least another hour before I can sleep.

Also, I scored a fuckton of MRE's, well 7 anyway... dunno when to try one. Maybe tomorrow- but I need to give a friend of mine one of them as a christmas present.

Most of the changes revolve around the first character I introduced, Archaelle. They are as follows:
1. I'd originally thought that it would be interesting to have her be part vampire, and I would have the vampires in my story be a completely biologically explained race- but then I decided that instead, having magical undead things was a better idea. Instead, I'm thinking maybe she should be part human? Or perhaps fully Viperon is fine- but it relates to part of her backstory that will be fleshed out later.
2. Originally, Archaelle had a machine-pistol; I changed my mind, and now she has a revolver. Whether or not automatic weapons will be developed later in the story, I'm still not decided yet.
3. In my first draft, her arrows were bought from a human merchant, and had swivel mechanisms; I scratched the idea. The bow is still a human one, though.

There is an issue of balance behind my changes- a balance of how much magic I want involved in this fantasy world, and how it works, and also a cultural balance as it relates to Archaelle.

I used that name because I heard it before somewhere, and it should translate as archaic- old. She is meant to embody the old ways of her people in a changing world.

Just thought I'd explain those things.

I fucking hate this computer- really, I do. my laptop's about 7 years old, and the keys have been coming off- it was the B and 0 keys before, but now it's the J key. makes it really difficult to type.
